Rules on Fantasy Writing

 which shall be modified each time something springs into my mind.

General

0. Fantasy Writing should be fun, for the writer and reader as well.

1. Nothing may be done that does not fit the specific rules of the universe.

2. Nothing may be done against occurrences commonly explained.

3. Don't try to do things differently only because Tolkien did it one way.

Magic

1. Magic is unlimited, personal access to it, however, is not.

2. There is magic in songs and words and places.

3. There are no rules to magic, only those applied by convention.
